Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the
water, and yet be just 5 minutes by car from downtown Shawano.
The Broder Road Channel House is located at N5417 Broder
Road and is owned by Ray and Ruth Disterhaft from Brookfield,
WI. They purchased this home to have a place to get away to
relax and have it available for rental.
Their Channel Home has new furnishings and lovely decorating
that a new homeowner is so proud to add. This home is a ranch
style home located on a heavily wooded lot with 
many
pines and oaks, and has 150 feet of frontage on the Channel
between Shawano Lake and the Wolf River. The home is about
10 minutes from the lake by boat, and a mile to the Wolf River.
There is excellent fishing from the dock, the channel, the
river, and of course Shawano Lake. The channel has a silt
bottom, so you may want to go to the Sand Bar for swimming
in Shawano Lake.
Their home is located on a quiet street with a beautiful
view of the water and wildlife from the living room, bedrooms,
and a large screened porch overlooking the channel. The home
easily sleeps 9 people with three bedrooms and a heated breezeway.
One bedroom has a king size bed, one has a queen size bed,
one has two twin beds, and the breezeway has a twin bed. There
is also a queen size sofa bed in the living room. The home
has two full baths, a half bath, and is wheelchair accessible.
There
is a washer and dryer, dishwasher, gas grill, gas fireplace
in the living room, T.V.’s, VCR/DVD, central air, plus
many extras. A large pontoon boat is included with a weekly
rental in spring, summer, and fall. It is a beautiful setting
for winter rental as well, with snowmobile trails located
a short distance from the home.
